Hollywood foi novamente o palco para 69ª Edição dos Globos de Ouro. No CINEMA The Artist e The Descendants foram os grandes vencedores da noite, ambos com o prémio de Melhor Filme e Melhor Actor Principal na categoria de Comédia/Musical e Drama, respectivamente. The Artists arrecadou ainda o prémio de Melhor Banda Sonora.
